John was born on December 18, 1937 and passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017.

John was a resident of Des Moines, Iowa at the time of passing.

John graduated from Lovilia High School in 1956 and soon after joined the army as an equipment mechanical engineer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am, Monday, August 14, 2017, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Des Moines, IA. The family will greet friends Sunday at Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines from 3 to 6pm with a wake service at 6pm. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery, veterans section, after mass on Monday, with military honors.
